Haven't posted in a while but I've decided to come by again and drop a few lines. There's too much that has happened in this past month, it's been great. I just went by San Francisco at the end of November for about a week and did quite a lot of shopping there. Gotta see my relatives and such, it was good...I definitely miss my little cousins. They asked me when I was going to visit them again and naturally I replied..."next year in the summer, like always" ...in which I ended up correcting myself cuz I won't be off school next summer! grrr. I won't be off till the next four years meaning, no little cousins to pick on anytime soon. =P

So where in the world am I right now? I'm in Hong Kong!! I've been here for a little over more than a week and I've seen/done so much!! I went to a really nice beach in Shek O and got to soak in a little more sun than I was expecting to in december. It was the first time I've ever worn boots on a beach! haha. (it was an unexpected road trip) I passed by a little stand selling food by the side of the road and recognized a familiar face. It happened to be a tvb star more well known for his role in The Kindered Spirit way back...although I've seen him in some more recent ones as well. I definitely had to take a picture with him. =) haha

For the next couple of days I've mostly been going to more rural parts of hong kong. By rural I mean not as busy like mongkok on the weekends. There was still quite alot to do there. I went to a couple of outlet malls and walked around.
Today ended up being another unexpected road trip to sai gong...I think that's how you spell it. haha. We were suppose to drive up to sha tin but didn't quite make it all the way. haha. Had some nice thai food and went by the yacht club. The scenery was amazing! =)

Today Hong Kong had it's opening ceremony for the 2009 East Asian Games. That was pretty exciting. I didn't make it outside to see the fireworks...but could kind of see it from the place where I was staying at. The fireworks were pretty loud though, so I could hear it as well...it ended up being great sound effects for the tv showing the event. haha.
Yesterday I went to the Hong Kong Jockey Club in Happy Valley for dinner with relatives and we just so happened to see some of the athletes representing Mongolia eating at the table right next to us! I thought that was pretty awesome, but none of my relatives cared to showed interest. haha. =P At the time I didn't think they were atheltes...I thought they were people who were just very patriotic and wore clothes with "Mongolia" written on them. haha how silly...I ended up seeing those same people on tv at the opening ceremony!

More updates on my trip to come!! =)
